What is the best offense? Is it the spread with RPO? Is that what teams want to run now to better equip athletes for college ball? We all know there are teams that simply focus on either running or throwing and they have had success.

Separate question: Is it better to mold kids into a system or change the system to fit the kids?
Depends on your talent IMO, but sometimes you have to pick your system and stick with it. If you're wanting to have some immediate success and move on to bigger and better things, then pick the offense best suited to your players' talents. If you're going to stick around for a while, pick your system and run it from the feeders all the way to the top.

There is a team here in Central Kentucky who I won't name. Their coach has always liked to run the spread and has always fielded a competitive team doing so. That said, and this is my opinion obviously, but earlier on they could have had much more success if they were running Wing T or Veer instead of the spread because they had big bodies and hard runners but no real athletes on the edges. They stuck with the spread though, and eventually they had the athletes to fully utilize it, and they were at the top of their class for several years and still typically field competitive teams YoY.
