It was Crum and what I was referring to happened while the game was still going on. What happened after the game when they were attempting to shake hands was just a continuance of what happened earlier.
To top off all the pettiness. Martin co girls won the district yesterday against Paintsville and were refused to be given the game ball!!!

Fast forward to the 1:19:00 mark to see it all unfold. After the hard foul on #20 (I like that kid by the way, he plays hard. I miss his mullet) you can see the cops and the PHS AD rush to the Martin County fan that was trying to get on the floor and go after the Paintsville player. You can’t see the fan until later on when a state trooper was escorting him out. As for the deal after the game shaking hands, Crum shoved Slone first, you can see it on the video. It was as lopsided as it gets. This is why tempers flare up in these games. To no fault if Paintsville. They played a heck of a game and fugate played like a man possessed. The refs have to take control and call an even game.
Martin county needs to clean house no reason they didn’t win a few more in a few sports. Jc fan but paintsville had

I wasn’t there last night for the girls game, I wouldn’t know anything about it. I didn’t know they gave the game balls to the winners. We won the district when I played and I don’t recall ever receiving a game ball lol. Does Martin County really want a game ball that has the Paintsville “P” stamped on it?

Awfully lot of blue…So Jc and magoffin could take pics of their team holding the trophy but not MC? Oh that makes better sense…I’m glad you explained it. Bottom line. NO ONE was allowed out on the court when MC got the trophy. Paintsville JC and Magoffin were allowed to because there wasn’t a police presence on that side of the gym. If you host a tourney everyone is to be treated on equal terms.

Awfully lot of blue…So Jc and magoffin could take pics of their team holding the trophy but not MC? Oh that makes better sense…I’m glad you explained it. Bottom line. NO ONE was allowed out on the court when MC got the trophy. Paintsville JC and Magoffin were allowed to because there wasn’t a police presence on that side of the gym. If you host a tourney everyone is to be treated on equal terms.
Looks like plenty of fans out on the floor on Martin County’s side after they took their team picture with their championship trophy before they got to cut the nets down. Should we get a screen shoot of that too lol

The drama was with adults, not the players. Grown ass man trying to get on the floor to fight a 15 year old kid. Assistant coach cussing out the opposing head coach, dropping F-bombs so loud everyone in the gym could hear it. Same assistant coach telling an opposing player that he would beat his ass and his coaches ass. Wait a second, that was a Martin County fan trying to get on the floor and had to be restrained by 3-4 people and the cops. And wait, that was a Martin County assistant screaming “Eff You” across the gym at Slone and telling Fugate he’d whoop his ass and Slone’s lol. You were right though, definitely some drama.

Alumni, still cheer for Paintsville. My kids go to Magoffin County and I’ve lived in Magoffin for the last 13 years. I might be a little bias at times, but nothing I said that you quoted was false. Every bit of that happened.

Got out of hand due to the poor officiating. One kid on Paintsville had two flagrant fouls that were not called. Paintsville had a fan thrown out but then came back in the gym. Paintsville will go down in history as the worst host ever. As far as the cheerleading, Martin County, rightly won that as well. They just didn’t want a clean sweep even thought that is what happened. As far as Paintsville, they should be ashamed and embarrassed by their actions.

Paintsville has a long history of being a poor host for both basketball and football games and the overall cause has been a general failure of school administrators to provide a secure venue. I won't say that there have not been any principals and other administrators who have taken security and crowd control seriously but too many have not. Things get out of hand too often at Paintsville home games to blame the referees for every incident and I wasn't at the game last night, so my comments don't necessarily apply to last night's game but if a fan was ejected but allowed to return, then that is on the school's administration, IMO. If true, then that fan should be banned from Paintsville's sporting events for life.
It hasn't always been that way at Paintsville. I remember a small group of Paintsville athletes attending a Johnson Central basketball game in the 70's who sat in the stands spitting tobacco juice through the bleachers onto the gym floor during a game. The JC principal contacted the Paintsville principal and on the following Monday, Paintsville's principal sent the culprits to JC with mops and made the boys clean the floor. That was a classy act and it is how a school should handle situations involving their own players, fans, and coaches.

1. Yes, Paintsville got away with more than MC did. The refs let way too much go every night. They all would have fouled out 15-20 years ago.
2. When was a Paintsville fan ejected from the game?
3. Isn’t there a judging panel that votes on the cheerleading competition, not just the host school? (If it was the host school, don’t ya think Paintsville’s cheerleaders would have at least got runner-up lol)
