Assuming the rumors are true that Coach Black is leaving, who will be the next coach at Whitley County? The Whitley job pays well, there is great administrative support, the facilities are superior, the returning talent level is high and the fan expectations are high. Whitley plays in a weak 5A district where championships would come easy for a good coach. The current coach has left the success bar terribly low making it very very easy for a new coach to rapidly show vast improvement. Will these attributes attract an established state recognized name or will Whitley look locally?
What about the names below:
Mike Campbell- Would it be like the return of McArthur? A king returns to his throne.
Al Yacidro- Al has paid his dues, will he get his chance?
Cotton Adams- Would the Master return for a 5 year retirement booster?
Steve Jewell- For the first season in a long time, the Corbin fans seem happy with Jewell, would Jewell get out while the getting is good?
Dudley Hilton - Money talks, would Hilton walk?
Ken Roark-In much the same position as Jewell, would Roark move 30 miles down the road for a better situation?
Others?
