Frederick Douglass senior Ty Bryant has been named the 2022 Paul Hornung winner as the state's top high school player by the Louisville Quarterback Club. Bryant is a University of Kentucky signee and the all-time leader in tackles at Douglass with 268. Congratulations to a fine young man and a great family!

Bryant is the 3rd straight Bronco to win this prestigious award along with Jager Burton (2020) and Dane Key (2021).

Is this award for the state's best player or for the state's best player who holds a Kentucky scholarship offer?

It is just one of several groups who award a player of the year award such as the AP or the Gatorade one.

Congratulations Ty Bryant on Paul Hornung award presented by the Louisville QB Club. Ty finished with over a 4.0 GPA, great leader and player for us. He’s going to be great at Kentucky! The award was presented today at a luncheon in Louisville.
