As good as Boyd County's progress has been this season, their football program currently has a ceiling much like Ashland's did for years when they had to face Highlands and then Johnson Central early in the playoffs. Nothing they can do about it. They're only going to go so far and this week is the end of the road for the Lions. It's good that a team like Boyle County has to visit Boyd, though, as it's a great opportunity for area fans to see a legit team close up. For the Boyle County fans, it's worth making the trip. Conveniently located right off I-64 and the best turf facility and stadium in the area. For the Boyd County fans, though, get the banquet date ready.
Boyd County scoring 14 points in overtime against Rowan County tells me all I need to know for this game.
Boyd will try to put up a fight but Boyle rolls in this one.
Boyle new offense still in practice mode and that’s not good new for Boyd

Mytown TV on Facebook and YouTube streamed Boyd County's home games during the season. Not sure about the playoffs.
Haven’t heard anything about Dawson lately, this old Hound is praying for the young man, hopefully he’s healthy and back on the field soon.

I saw on Twitter that he is likely to return THIS season. It may not be at Boyd County but I would expect him back in round 3.
As far as this game, Boyle County is going to dismantle Boyd County.

Wasn’t a tear. Honestly, I have no inside info or anything like that, but just judging on the tone and what everyone is saying id bet he’s about 50/50’on returning this season. Just depends on how quick the kid can heal I’m assuming
I personally wouldn't rush it. Its not worth taking the risk of a injury happening...But if its not that bad then play... Haddix will be on top of it..I like Dawson. Prayers for him.

He was out on the field at halftime Friday night . He was throwing the ball about 40 yds without much effort. He had a brace on but didn't appear to be limping that much.

I remember going to a ski "resort" back in the 80's out in Boyd County. I think it was called "Lakewood Village". When you think about it skiing is going downhill fast, which is exactly where this game is going. On a serious note, Boyd is much improved and has had a good season and is headed in the right direction, this is just too much. Boyle big.
14-7 in OT against Rowan. They won't be in this game long and i'm afraid the score will not get any closer than it is now.
