Should be a good one
Whoever gets the dub here will get Fredrick Douglass and have a running clock put on them

Not true. Winner of this game gets Southwestern.
Don’t even know next game ?

Aren't you that bo(zo)67 that tried to insult us rednecks down here in Corbin? I say Scott County by three TDs. At least, I hope so.
No I’m that Bozo that’s your daddy ? Take it to the bank ?

Wrong, Scott County is #2 in the RPI, so the only way they would have to play Douglas is in the State Finals, but I will say one thing Douglas is 5x better than Scott, but that's the one team they probably don't want to play because they play so much, Douglas doesn't call them TTUN for nothing, but sure FD would be heavily, heavily favorite if they played again.
Who will winner of Scott Co/Highlands probably get?
(11-05-2022, 12:03 PM)bo67 Wrote: [ -> ]Who will winner of Scott Co/Highlands probably get?
If both Scott Co and Southwestern win they would play each other in Scott Co. If Highland wins I'm thinking either Woodford Co. or Douglas if the top seeds win, but not sure on that, I'm sure 16bball fan probably knows.

That depends on whether Scott County or Highlands wins and on the outcome of the other games. Scott County is #2 in the RPI and Highlands is  #6. If Scott County wins, then they will play at home against the team that survives next week with the 3rd highest RPI in the east. If Highlands upsets Scott County, then the road will not get any easier for them.

Thanks
Blue birds will win this game.
I doubt that Highlands can handle Scott County's ground game. Highlands will score some points, just as they did against Simon Kenton, but I don't think that they will be able to keep pace.
I’m taking Highlands in this one

Scott County 35-21.
I was impressed with the Fort Thomas Community and how they treated us when we visited earlier this season. They earned a fan from afar with me. That being said, I have seen Highlands play multiple times this season and they have some really good athletes and they have good fundamentals to cause fits for teams and shouldn’t be overlooked by anyone. I think Highlands is on their way back to being back to being one of the “big boys” again in the next few years.

They keep it up they might be meeting at a rest stop along the interstate.....

Scott County 42
Highlands 28
This game could be a lot of fun to watch. Scott County in a very close one but I hope I find a stream online to see it.
Scott County has played a far tougher schedule. That will come into play when the going gets tough for Highlands during this game. Highlands best win was an injury depleted Covington Catholic. Scott County beat Ballard and LexCath the last two weeks of the regular season. Scott County should win this game comfortably.

You could be right, I just can't see Highlands scoring 28 points on SC defense. They have played much better offense's and skill than Highlands and there starting D has only giving up more than 3 TD's once in a game the whole year I think and that was to Douglas. Dunbar scored 28 but Scott was up 34-6 at one point so that was on the JV.  Not sure who will win the game, should be a good one.

Your hope is a reality. The game will be video streamed live at the following link:

The stream is run by the HHS Film & Broadcast students so the play by play and commentary are basic and limited. Enjoy the show!

I am taking the Bluebirds over Scott County by a score of 27-21.

You was right the other day, I thought Lexington Catholic would beat Scott County and boy was I wrong, but hey what a year of unpredictable games.

I had to eat some crow pie. I thought LC would beat them by about 14. And now im more confused than I was before... I dont know how you barely get by a Franklin team then beat ballard.  This season has thrown me through more loops than Nibroc carnival ride.. Its not just Scott either. Lexington and Cov cath was a shocker, then LC beat boyle. Its like one big round robin that goes in a loop

That's a easy one, they upset Franklin Co. the first game of the year when Franklin was 100% healthy with a bunch of Sophomore's starting there first Varsity game that have gotten better week after week. The Lex Cath. game wasn't close as the score either, scott was up 28-7 going into the 4th Q and they just went into prevent. Not sure if they will beat Highlands but the schedule they have played should have Scott County ready.

I think scott will beat Cov cath. Like you said they've played the teams they needed to play to prepare. I'll be honest, I didnt know how good Freddy D was until i watched them play boyle. It wasn't the fact they just man handled Boyle, or even the score. It was watching their players and how talented they were. I dont know if ive ever seen that much talent all the way around on one team. Not counting the early and mid 2000's trinity teams. But more recently I guess. It was like the had a specialist at every stinkin' spot!! Not a pun, but like they single handedly recruited everyone of their positions. I dont know if i saw a weak link in them that game.

The bad thing about 5A... You have to believe in your team, and the players have to believe in themselves and everyone around them. But how in the world do you do that after you watch the best team just dismantle the 2nd, 3rd, best teams in the class?
