Russell can win this game but they have had the ball on the last possession in multiple 1 possession games this season and failed to get the win. It’s hard to pick them when when they have shown all season that they can’t get it done in crunch time.

East 28
Russell 20
East Carter 25 Russell 24. Another close loss for the Red Devils.
Winner goes to Belfry. Loser goes to Lawrence. Hmmm…

Wouldn’t it be something of Russell lost this week and went to LC and knocked them out of the playoffs?
I believe Russell wins this one. They finish the season next week beating West Carter and become the Carter County champion
Russell is probably the best winless team in the state and I really wouldn’t be surprised to see them upset whoever they play in the first round.

Strangely enough, this is possible.

I’d rather go to Lawrence. Belfry is one of those you want to avoid in the playoffs.
They are nowhere as bad as you’d think an 0-8 team should be. Devils finally catch a break and get the W with a first round game at belfry

I’m not sure winning a trip to Belfry is catching a break.
If Russell goes to Lawrence in the playoffs I don't see them pulling off any upset that would be some turnaround since they have already lost 50-10 to Lawrence earlier this year.

Russell is a strange team this season.  They quit in the Lawrence loss.  This is the same Russell team, though, that played Ashland, Greenup, Dunbar, and Wheelersburg to the last possession.  They are capable of pulling off a playoff upset.
