Thoughts?
North plays a lot of kids in this one!
South hasn't played defense since the Civil War. Confederates go down again.
Maybe South Laurel can make a game out of this on a Thursday night……….with that said hoping coach Chappell pulls starters at the 6.44 marked 2Q

North Laurel 49+
South Laurel 07
North big
Bump

I'm not trying to be ugly about the team or kids but it's shocking that South has been so bad for so long. I remember in the early 2000's, they had some decent to even really good teams. If I'm not mistaken, they even had a 4 game streak vs. Corbin. What has changed so much recently to cause SL to struggle so much? Is it lack of support from the administration, kids just not playing, or what? I'm not saying they should be a contender at the state or even region level, but there is no reason they couldn't string together some successful seasons like NL has had.
good ol chicken festival bowl. jags roll in this one. What is going on at South. It seems like they get a new coach every year or two and I know there is athletes in London everyone just go to north?
Chicken dinner…

NL - 52
SL - 2

Gotta have some type of youth program for the kids….way I understand it the Optimist Club canceled football, the schools canceled elementary football before that, so kids aren’t being introduced to football until middle school…just from what I’ve heard the administration from top to bottom hasn’t given football any type of priority and it shows…

I didn't know about the Optimist shutting things down. I hope those kids are giving the option of playing in TCSA or something close by if they choose to. It's a shame they are being deprived of youth sports. I don't know all of the details though. These past 3 years have been pretty trying on folks so maybe that's why. Who knows.

Imo it’s today’s administrators, not just the ones in Laurel Co but all around the country…Let’s face it most of them never played a sport growing up for whatever reason and they don’t see the need for sports now….Either that or they’re flat out crooks who are trying to stick as much money in their pockets as possible….I always have heard the excuse that school is for education and not sports well the COVID lockdowns exposed that lie and a lot of the other crooked things that our educators are up to….
