I know pj will say whitley beat harlan, harlan also beat knox blah blah blah but my rankings are based on who would win more times than not if matched up.
I think Whitley County has beaten Harlan County about five consecutive games. including a dominating defensive performance in the last game. In case you make an excuse Whitley County had starters out.
Harlan played two freshman at safety, And had 3 turnovers all inside the 25 with one being a pic six. Couldn’t move the football i agree, but when you lose both playmakers you kinda in a bad spot. If swanner is playing 2nd half the 60 yard bomb is not completed i can promise that. So three touchdowns really are on the fault of A. turnovers, B swanner injury. But there’s no questioning the outcome on the scoreboard whitley won end of discussion. But now that the injury bug has left HC, hopefully everyone after this week, we have to look on the horizon. Whitley will show their real guns this week if they have them.

Whitley's top receiver was out. the long pass was to a freshman that is likely a future superstar that could likely score on any defensive back, and no you can't promise any such thing. Whitley simply shut them down and was the better team. You're saying no questioning the outcome and making excuses at the same time.

That's a shocker. I didn't think anybody liked Whitley County. lol
PJDoug they had some good things to say on the 13th Region Inside the Huddle about Whitley tonight. They do it every Sunday at 8:00. Had a former Redhound and current North Laurel player on tonight Ethan Gregory as a guest. Ethan just rushed 22 times for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns against Shelby Valley as he is emerging as one of Class 5A’s top rushers.. 13th Region overall is playing some good football from top to bottom…. Great for all our communities!!! Proud of all our 13th Region kids!

Agreed, the 13th has some kids making serious noise this year. It’s really cool also what 13th region media network is doing with all of their coverage, they are doing on heck of a job promoting sports & players in the 13th.

I understand it’s impossible to not put a undefeated team at least in the top 5, but from what we have seen from teams 5-10, is it not ridiculous to think pineville could get anyone on this list.

It sure makes for good commentary though lol.

These guys work hard you can tell and it’s about impossible to rank the region with Harlan county and north messing everything up beating teams they are 30 point underdogs are in. I don’t know if my rankings would look any better than theirs
Yes they do… I enjoy reading there stuff and what a year so far of upsets and surprises in the 13th!

Teams in the 13th Region in the Mountain TOP 10....Congratulations North Laurel and Pineville and Corbin..
No clue whose doing the writing but it's fantastic, some of the best I've ever read on any level, it's about time our athletes got the coverage they deserve, nice work.
Once again, you could just start naming teams in WYMT coverage that aren’t on the list that would take pineville to the woodshed. I understand they are undefeated, but so what if almost anyone could go undefeated with the schedule they have played. I guess time will tell.
Laughable that Pineville is ranked this high

I have to ask, who is the best of the rest? Didn't Clay County beat Williamsburg in a preseason Scrimmage?

Whitley County is better than a few of these teams.

Tom Greer’s Corbin Redhounds locked up Class 4A’s No. 1 seed on Friday night after cursing past Campbell County with a 42-0 win.

The Redhounds capped off a second straight perfect 10-0 regular season while outscoring their opponents, 191-0, during their past four games.

Corbin, whose RPI is .75319, will play host at Campbell Field as long as the Redhounds win each week all the way up to the Class 4A State Championship.

“Campbell Field’s magic is awesome and it would be nice to be close to home, but playing on Friday at home or away is our goal — just to be playing on Dec 2nd,” Greer said. “

Defending state champion Boyle County (8-2) is the No. 2 seed with an RPI rating of .68600 while Lexington Catholic (8-2) is the No. 3 seed (.68552), and Warren East (10-0) is the No. 4 seed (.66384).

Corbin will host Harlan County (4-6) Friday during first round action of the Class 4A playoffs.
