Probably true, but you need 16 teams in the 15th if the goal is to be fair to all the regions/teams.

Maybe keep Jenkins and replace Lawrence County with Letcher County then.

There’s only 15 teams in the 15th Region currently.  Only 3 teams in the 60th district.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Unfair to have 18-19 teams in some regions and 14-15 in others.

I've always advocated Harlan County and Harlan with Letcher and Jenkins in the 53rd
I'd move Knott, Cordia and JBS to 15th to give that region enough teams
That would be a thought. It would also be hard on Powell and estill if they had to travel to Harlan and the same if either Harlan team  had to travel to Powell or estill.
Harlan is 143 miles from Irvine and 120 to Stanton. For a comparison with a team already in the 14th, Letcher Central, Whitesburg is 121 miles to Irvine and 101 to Stanton.
There’s not a huge difference, about 20 miles travel one way. But every region except 6th and 7th have teams located far apart. Think of the 12th with Wayne County  traveling to the Jessamine County schools. Or Clark County’s drive to the northern Kentucky Ohio River schools. Also in the 16th it’s probably a good distance from Greenup County to Menifee and Bath County.

I think Knott would make a lot more sense with its connection to Floyd on at least a couple of roads.

True, plus Harlan County would never HAVE to travel to Estill or Powell or vice versa unless it's a RARE regional tournament at one place or the other. Cawood was once in the same football district as Estill - not a big deal then the way I remember
I don't understand why everyone is talking about the Knott schools being a better fit? How far is Jenkins from East Ridge and Shelby Valley?

Powell County doesn’t touch a county that’s in the 15th region. They’re not even within 2 counties close to the 15th. They border Clark, Estill, Montgomery, Menifee, and Wolfe.
hey I volunteer to do this. I would love to come up with something. Now understand I am a little bit of a old-school guy but I think we can look at maps and current teams and make not only really solid districts but damn good regions.

I will come up with my own variations of regions 10 through 16 and post. May even do a region 8 and 9 just because
