I didn’t get to watch all of this, but it looked like Perry led the entire game.

Fight in the third quarter. Lynch and Lawson thrown out.
Anxious to see how Estill does against Perry next Saturday in the Peggy Moore Classic at Breathitt.

Congrats Lady Dores.
Was this a physical game that led to altercation & ejections or did referee crew just let it get out of hand?
Was a tie up that should have had the whistle blown 3 seconds sooner.

I agree. When officials allow players to wrestle on the floor for a basketball as long as it was in this incident it can get pretty darn intense and that’s exactly what happened. It led to kicking by one player and result was a fight. Whistle should have been blown much quicker.
And by the way, the player that instigated the fight was not ejected.
Some would argue the rear naked choke started it.
But I agree, she was clearly tapping out and the ref ignored it.
Looked more like a head scissors to me Zags. Lol. Ref could of prevented it all. Was the Johnson guy from watching the pay per view.

Yeah, nice little transition from the choke to the head scissors. I missed that. Slick move!
Not really a situation to laugh about, injuries can happen during this craziness. Way to many fans got on the floor during this only making things worse. Good luck to both teams moving forward & hopefully some lessons learned.
Lesson learned should be practice wrestling moves at wrestling practice and not on the basketball court.

Looks like an Owsley County assistant is going to jail, just how bad was this dust up?
If I'm not mistaken, I think he was involved in the scuffle against Estill County a few years ago
I watched the video of the altercation. It didn’t really show a whole lot. There was a referee standing right at the altercation but didn’t blow his whistle. The referee under the basket is the one that came running to make the call. But I guess any grown man, especially one involved with law enforcement, should know not to hit a child if he did.
In the video you see him dive into the pile, which was a bad move in general, but you really can’t see anything after that because it’s so crowded.

Today I know Kyra McAlarnis and Samantha Turner were suspended for two games as well.

I heard Brent Lynch (the sheriff in question) and his other daughter Layla were suspended too but I cannot confirm that. Someone from Owsley may be able to confirm that.
If I understand correctly, a warrant for Lynch the sheriff of Owsley County, has been issued.
Will this have any repercussions for His daughters college career. Didn’t she just sign or commit to a D2?
So they can’t find him? Is he in the run?
WYMT reported that a warrant has been issued for his arrest. I've not heard anything about him being on the run.

Zags brutha heres a quick edited video of the altercation and they showed no mercy! #flyingpursesareamutha  More mash taters please!!!
Having watched the video I think the Cop in the Sheriff just came out and folks in Perry County are overcharging him. I'd be moving for a change of venue ASAP if I was the Owsley Sheriff, I would be willing to bet if people not tied to Perry County review this it ends in a dismissal.
You never saw anyone from Perry County dive on top of his daughter did you? He simply should of bent over and help restrain the kids and help them up. No, he decided to do a swan dive off the high dive. Not your typical doped up criminals he’s probably used to handling. He messed up but things like that happen in situations like this.

Absolutely he made a mistake, but a huge difference in being too aggressive in breaking up the situation and committing criminal assault.

You must have watched a different video than the one I saw. He ran up to the scene of the melee, I assume to help break it up same as everyone else who ran out there had on their mind, and just as he got there he slipped on perspiration on the floor and caught his balance and didn’t fall. He didn’t strike anyone and there is zero evidence on the video that he did. I suppose he was trying to help break up the fight because he has two daughters who were involved. Seconds after he arrived on the scene someone from Perry pushed him off to the side and he was no longer there.
Nothing to see here, folks.
Just a guy trying to break a fight up who slipped on some perspiration.

Perry AD seems to be holding his own with karate champ Boyka. Who is the big dude behind Boyka? He is the one that threw Boykalike a rag doll. Guy needs to be a bodyguard.

I tried to post once and it didn’t go through, so I’ll try again.
The above picture is a snapshot, a moment frozen in time. That doesn’t always tell the whole story. He had just arrived to the scene. From the people I have spoken with who were there at the scene he slipped on the floor, I suppose perspiration, and almost went down. In a millisecond he was confronted by the guy in red and the guy with the black cap. He was pushed to the end zone. It’s my understanding they are Perry officials and just doing their jobs. But I believe the coach’s only intention was to help break up the fight, I suppose just like everyone else’s intention that ran out there. He didn’t want anyone to get hurt.
As for the pic shown here it just seems to me he didn’t know if the guy was a parent confronting or attacking him or what. That’s his daughter lying on her back with the officer kneeling over her. She had been punched in the side of the head and her hair pulled. He also had another daughter in the melee. He was escorted out of the gym. Four Owsley players have been suspended two games. That should be the extent of it. From those there that saw it happen, and it happened fast, but he did not strike anyone. So unless they have conclusive video that shows him doing that there is no evidence that he did. Just someone saying they saw him is not enough. Because others will say he didn’t. Then it comes down to “he said, she said” evidence, which is useless.
If you watch the video, the whistle was blown about 3 seconds to late. Fumbles and pile ups in football are called sooner.
