I think Hazard will put up a fight and Pikeville will have to earn it but Pikeville will be too much in the end.

Hazard will be coming to Pikeville to win and the only thing that can prevent that is these Pikeville players and RamDad and Blue-Bird have nothing to do with it or any other poster which ever way they predict. I do think it’s going to be a very physical and hard fought game and the team that plays their game the best will win. Yes I am a Panthers fan and I want them to win but after watching last weeks game of Pikeville they better come out with more effort and determination or Hazard could celebrate on their field again. I have seen Pikeville at their best and at not so good at times this year. I believe at their best they will win this game and the other side I don’t want to think about but I will be there cheering for Pikeville and know they can win but it’s only up to them. As always GO PANTHERS!!!

I would like to say that this will be a closer game this time around, but Pikeville’s dreams of winning back to back state championships were crushed when they overlooked Hazard in the playoffs last year. I don’t see that happening again. I think Pikeville wins big.

Pikeville is apparently the center of the universe. Thus, they should win handily.
28-7 Pikeville. PHS is the most physically talented team in Class A. The only thing that trips them up is a mental lapse for a whole game and with their coaching staff I don’t see that happening. I believe if PHS comes out early and establishes a 2 TD lead then they will cruise. Upsets only happen when the favorite allows the other team to hang around.

The first thread created on BGR was pretty much created as close to Pikeville’s 1989 Championship as this playoff run.

Can Hazard win this game? Yes, But For Hazard to have a shot to win this game, they will need to have drives that come up with scores. Hazard in the last game had an almost 7 minute drive to start the 3rd quarter with a score to push the lead out. Then in the 4th they basically had a 9 minute drive which ended the game to preserve the win. So you have to score. They also need to cut out/down turnovers. If they have more than 1 then there chances to win decrease. They will also need to not help Pikeville with penalties to extend drives. They will also of course will need to keep Birchfield bottled up. If they can do that, then they have a shot.
