PC kids looked defeated before kickoff. QB didn’t play due to injury. No enthusiasm at all. PC has pieces to be a solid team. They have some size and some athletes just can’t seem to get things going in the right direction.
Pike central primary focus this off-season has to be defense. They were beyond bad this year. Not only against Belfry but Magoffin put up 76 on them and Shelby Valley scored 59. They gave up more than 40 points in 7 of their 10 games. For them to even be competitive going forward they must drastically improve defensively. If not next year will be very similar.
