Final
Way to go red birds.
Mayfield dominated the stats in the game, but, PT stayed in the game with the big play and a couple of big defensive plays where they recovered a fumble deep in Cardinal territory to set up one score and another pick 6. Mayfield has to feel pretty good though, as there OL really played well and were knocking the Tornado's off the ball for a solid 20 1st downs and Cartwright was efficient, completing 16 of 22 passes. Galbreath picked up 165 yards on 29 carries and 3 TDs. For PT, Allen threw for 158 yards, but, they only managed 7 1st downs and 31 yards on the ground, which forced them into being one dimensional and ultimately the biggest difference in the game.
Seemed like the Cards were doing their best to make this a close game. Should’ve been 28-7 at the half and ended up being 28-21. Can’t continue to self destruct.
Congratulations Mayfield!
Game was not not really as close as the final score. Mayfield completely dominated this game outside of a few big plays by tilghman. Nice win cards!
For the first time this year we were our own worst enemy but we overcame our mistakes and made it 16 straight wins in a row over the Tornado. Had we not hurt ourselves this one could have got ugly. We left no doubt who the better team was

We need to be ready for than open play bomb, that is 2 out of 3 games we have fell for that
Nothing but cupcakes left on Mayfield schedule.
If PT had a couple more decent interior players, they'd be a tough out. I just think they're too thin in the trenches to make a very deep playoff run. Skill players are there, but, no matter how skilled you are, you still need those big guys clearing you a path to run through. In there defense, they do a pretty good job pass blocking, just can't run block well enough to have the balance needed to be an elite offensive team. Same on defensive side. Mayfield ran at will and dominated the trenches on that side of the ball, also.
Good assessments, note that Mayfield was without two major players as well.
