Lercher Central QB Charlie Banks was 16-25 for 220 yards. He also rushed 9 times for 112. Scored 3 TD's rushing and had two more passing. Caleb Frazier was an animal on defense.

Cougars got the W but the performance they displayed tonight wont cut it against Whitley Co. Plain and simple

There were a few things that will need to be improved.
1. The defense! - LC ran a very easy touchdown in the 2nd quarter through half the Defensive secondary.
2. The receivers MUST catch the ball.
3. The OL must protect the QB a little better.
Charlie Banks played a GREAT game. He was able move the ball consistently.
Subtract the TD run, the overall Cougars D was pretty good. Caleb Frazier had a remarkable game.
I think if the Cougars can get in Whitley County's backfield and rattle up their QB a little, they will sail through fairly easy. (That is depending on the offense. The Cougars must move the ball, and catch passes.)
I'd say look for a great game next week.
