Jaz has been as solid as he could be all year for the Wolves. He leads the Wolves in scoring and is close to leading them in rebounding also. Well deserved award
13th region winner: JEVONTA TURNER
Turner had a tremendous year for Knox Central leading them in scoring at 28.4ppg. Clay Countys Connor Robinson also had a fantastic year but in the end, coaches gave Turner the nod. Turner also led team in rebounding , while shouldering much of the ball handling duties for Knox. He was fantastic in the WYMT tourney as well. If Knox gets back to Rupp, it will happen because of Turner.

14th region winner: JAZ JOHNSON
Jaz has had an absolute stellar career at Wolfe. A 4year starter who also passed 2000 points earlier this week. Hazard's Wade Pelfrey and KCC Colby Napier were also leading candidates for the award. but its hard to argue with Johnson winning the award, as he is Mr. do everything for the Wolves leading them in scoring 22.3 and near top of rebounds and assists, He also is a tremendous defender and one of the most complete all around players the region has seen in a while.

15th region winner: ISAIAH MAY
Johnson Central is the current favorite to win the region, and its because of the duo of May and Corey Vanhoose (who was also a contender for POY). Betsy Layne's Jordan Frazier is another player that was in contention, leading his team in scoring and rebounding, but in the end, coaches went with May and his fantastic career numbers, May leads the Eagles at 16 ppg as well, and he plus Vanhoose, have given the rest of the 15th region fits for the last several years.

16th region winner - MASON MOORE
If anyone can take down Ashland in the postseason , Rowan is that team. Moore led the Vikings all year long and just missed averaging a double/double at 20.2 ppg and 9.6. The UK baseball commit is a tremendous athlete who seemed to be the clear pick in the 16th as POY.
The breakdown of the players who are players of the year is very good, Congratulations to all of the award winners. I follow the 14th region the most, so extra congratulations to Jaz Johnson, well deserved award for Jaz as I have enjoyed watching him and the Wolves play for several years.
If North Laurel and Reed Shepherd fail to make it to Rupp ,  Javonta Turner is likely to be the reason why.  Even though I currently have Knox rated fifth in the 13th, I still think they are the biggest threat to the Jaguars, primarily because of Turner's ability to take over a game.
