Anyone have a clue, also what do you guys think it will look like, 25% 50% will there be any general admission ticket sales. I've not missed a Sweet 16 in 25 years....well we all missed it last year but you get what I'm saying.
I'm not on any special Sweet 16 Blue Blood registry, I don't have friends in high places, I just love the game, and always buy a couple tickets.
If anyone hears anything post it here.

You are receiving this information because you had indicated that you were interested in purchasing Boys and/or Girls Sweet Sixteen® basketball tournament tickets this year. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT OUR OFFICE CANNOT ANSWER SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ABOUT SEAT ASSIGNMENT AND LOCATION. You will hear further information from the Central Bank Center Ticket Office.
With the Governor’s gathering and capacity changes last week, we can begin putting things into high gear for this year’s boys’ and girls’ state tournaments. We will be sending you additional information in the coming days, but wanted to share the good news.
Based on the changes made to the capacity for indoor events, we can safely conclude that it looks like all who requested tickets for this year’s tournament will be able to attend. That is of course if you choose to do so.
Here are a few seating reminders as the Central Bank Center Ticket Office starts to work with our office to process renewals for ticket holders that have ordered previously:
We will operate this year’s tournament at a maximum of 25% of capacity unless subsequent changes are made by the Governor’s office and the Department for Public Health to increase that number.
All ticketing will be electronic (using your phones).
Follow instructions from the box office if you are unable to use a mobile ticket as their customer service team can help.
In the case of expanded venue capacity, the venue has the capability to re-assign your electronic ticket location.
With electronic ticketing, you will be able to assign individual game tickets to other individuals as you see fit.
Very few, if any patrons, will have their “usual” seats for this year only. We appreciate your understanding as well as share your hope that this is the only year for this situation.
As is always the case, there is no way to put everyone on an aisle.
As we have stated all year, we will not have “sessions”.
Each game will be a separate event, with a daily schedule of 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. (no 5 p.m. game on Saturday)
We will distribute more detail in regards to between-game procedures as the tournament draws closer.
This single game approach will ensure that our participating teams have at least some opportunity to have their parents and a limited number of local fans in attendance.
We will be using nearly all of the arena, and do not anticipate any sections being “curtained off” so as to allow social distancing to the fullest extent feasible and practical.
There is no floor access from the side sections. Entry and exit will be through the arena concourse level.
We will be using every other row to enhance distancing.
Every row used will have the center three to four seats empty to promote distancing as well as minimize people “stepping over” one another during the games.
All of the symmetrical, 14-seat rows will have at least three seats empty.
Orders from no more than two entities could, in very isolated situations, be paired together but will never use more than six seats together in a single row. We will work with customer support at the box office for anyone with concerns about their seating arrangement.
Orders for single tickets will likely be filled from one section and spaced as feasible.
There will be four price points for tickets this year.
The five sections on each side of the lower arena will be priced at $150 per seat;
The lower arena corner sections will be priced at $135 per seat; and
The upper arena side-court (recently renovated and nearly all chairback seats) will be priced at $120 per seat for the entire tournament.
The remaining price point will be for the cheering section seats in the end zone, which will not be offered for advance purchase as a “set”.
In addition to the face value, each ticket will have a $15 facility fee ($1 per game), that goes entirely to the Lexington Center and not to the KHSAA. In the future, this $2 per session facility fee will continue and allows us to use the beautifully renovated arena for years to come.
For those that have requested seats, we are hoping to have your “invoice” ready later this week along with instructions to make payment. Look for an email from the Central Bank Center Ticket Office.
Please remember that the ticketing is 100% electronic this year, with no commemorative paper ticket being produced.
