Williamsburg returned the opening kick off and recovered a fumble in the end zone on a punt in Nicholas County’s second drive. Had a two play drive where they scored on a 57 yard pass. They had one sustained drive the whole game. They went through the majority of the second half without a first down. Nicholas County started 4 drives inside Willy’s 40 in the second half. Williamsburg’s defense was lights out. Big stop after big stop on fourth down including a great tackle by Chris Howard at the one on fourth down. Howard was a beast. He had a great game. Luke to know how many tackles he had. Williamsburg’s speed was the difference. They were able to break big plays and run Nicholas County on their opportunities. Nicholas County is well coached and played hard. Field looked good but was holding water. Had two inches of rain yesterday on top of snow during the week.
