Alberto Gonzales Resigned as US Attorney General Friday with the official announcement expected today.
Surprised that he resigned after sticking with it with all the heat that he took a couple of months ago.

I hope they take their time and confirm a decent AG who respects the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. This time it would be nice to have someone who actually had sat on the bench and made decisions that could be used to define their character based on their record. That would be a big change from the cronyism we've endured for the last 6 1/2 years.
