Russell opened up better than in past years. Could have been the competition. But in the past they always struggled out of the gate even when playing bad GC teams. The line seems a little weak. The QB had to do a lot of scrambling and was hurried on several occasions. If they can get their pass blocking down, it seem they'll have a good mix of run and pass to keep defenses honest.

Russell will get a true test to see where they stand in 3 weeks against a good Simon Kenton team. Simon Kenton beat Fort Thomas Highlands 27-13 or 14 last night.
