Lots of talk about rock etc, favorite black music? I will post mine tomorrow...

But this guy is verrrry cool for sure...

All time classic from the day:

I couldn't tell you the difference in hip hop and rap or tell you if it's the same. A local radio station run by the Gearheart family at Harold (it's either WXLR or WXKZ) that has Motown Thursday every week. I love listening to it, but I really don't know most of the artists or make of the songs. I really like the Beasty Boys, but they're white. I like some of Eminem, but he's white. I like Tina Turner but she sings a lot of "white music".
^Get with it white boy.

Run DMC in the rock and roll hall of fame
I grew up with Motown!! LOVE IT!!!

Some of the best music ever produced or will ever produce!
I love Motown, Smokey and the Miracles probably my all-time favorite act from that era. And I loved a lot of the funk/soul from back in the day, the Commodores and Earth, Wind and Fire and the like.
Agree with everyone, Motown is fantastic and timeless.
For the uninformed, LL Cool J stands for ladies love cool James

If these don't put you in a great mood you have problems lol.. even a white boy in the last one haha

I especially love the dancing in the end of the last one...

I love this song as well. I used to have the 45 record.
This song brings back great memories of an out of town trip that I took.
