Have been adding some links in to games and highlights in the Basketball forum over the past week or so to pass some time. I started a classic games link in the football forum last night, so this is the logical progression. I'll start with a few.
1995 - Leslie County - WYMT TV Sports Overtime Rewind

Tim Couch and the Eagles' season recapped.
2008 - Belfry vs. Breathitt County - 2A State Semi-Finals

Two hard hitting mountain powers laying it on the line in Pond Creek.

Companion, this was the 2007 Semi-Final game that led to this Breathitt upset tasting sweeter. for the Bobcats.

Belfry Upsetting Top-Ranked and undefeated Somerset in the 2010 Semi's. Tyler Williams (RIP) was the Belfry QB.

Belfry's 2003 State Championship over Etown. Very underrated game historically, had all the drama you could want and a walk off TD. Featured multiple future Power 5 players.

Pikeville defeats Belfry in 2000, but even more watch worthy is to see Belfry running the spread Offense.

Great Regional Final between Belfry and Pburg in 04. Features one of the most amazing stiff arms I have ever witnessed at the 2:53 mark delivered by Doug Howard.

Arguably the greatest Pikeville team of all-time in 1988 beats Belfry during their historic season.

Then another rebuttal video, Belfry ends Pikeville's historic 33-game win streak the next year in 1989.

This one is not historical, but just very well done from the 2019 3A Championship with Belfry and Bell County.

1990 - Ashland vs Clay County - 3A Semi-Finals

Clip of the throwdown at Putnam Stadium between the Tomcats and Tigers. Clay County running back Deshea Henson and Ashland's defensive end and future Mr. Football Juan Thomas get tangled up and the sidelines clear and fans start coming out of the stands.

GREAT pull!

Legendary Ashland team and legendary Ashland player.

The best Clay County team of all-time and probably the greatest Clay County player.

Henson was going to be a star and probably play at Tennessee but suffered a horrible injury if my memory is correct.
1999 Bryan Station Highlights

The Defenders' ended the season as the 4A State Runner-Up, and were powered by future Louisville Cardinal and Carolina Panther Eric "E-Train" Shelton. This hour-plus highlight reel shows plenty of electric plays that break for huge gains.

That Ashland team was the best Kentucky high school team I had ever seen.
2014 - Central vs. Corbin - 3A State Quarterfinals

Trailing late and needing a miracle, Central pulls off an improbable play as a pass is kicked high into the air by a Central receiver and caught by a teammate as an unlikely series of events leads to time expiring on the Redhounds on their home field.
2015 - Paintsville vs. Pikeville

Kash Daniel and the Tigers stage a late comeback to send the game to overtime and it's anyone's game from there. Don't read the title and description if you don't want spoilers.
2011 - Hazard Bulldogs Highlights

Highlights from the 2011 Class A State Champion's season.
DeVante Parker High School Highlights

Before he was a Louisville Cardinal and Miami Dolphin, he was a Ballard Bruin, and he looked like a man among boys, even against some of the stiffest competition in Kentucky.
Pikeville & Paintsville in 2015. Paintsville gets Round 1. Pikeville wins Round 2.

Pikeville upsets Hazard with a young team in the 2017 Region Championship.

Pikeville gets their first win in the history CAM Stadium as they come from behind to defeat Belfry in 2019 en route to an undefeated season.

Pikeville with a monumental upset over Raceland to spoil a Raceland/Fairview Regional Championship in 2012. The Rams had dominated Pikeville 54-14 early in the year. Pikeville would force OT late on a great effort from Cody Estep. A goal line stand & Chase Hall TD would provide one of the best finishes ever seen at Hambley.

State Championship Edition:

2015 & 2019. #HailPikeville

A little motivational action:

You think there were some sore kids after that game? Three yards and a cloud of dust, every... single... play.
1996 - Breathitt County Football - Sports Overtime Rewind

Review of the Bobcats' 1996 State Championship game against Fort Knox (led by Kentucky's leading rusher and future Kentucky RB Derrick Homer).
2002 - Breathitt County vs. Russell - 2A Semi Finals - Sports OT Rewind

Review of the Bobcats, led by Justin Haddix (Clemson, WKU, currently Boyle Co. head coach), Courtney Johnson, and company against the Russell Red Devils in an epic semi-final match-up.

Side note: this group was one of the best in the 14th Region during the 2000's and they would have been able to show that but for a controversial regional tournament ending.
1998 - Middlesboro Yellow Jackets - Sports Overtime Rewind

WYMT recaps the 1998 Class A Championship Season of the Middlesboro Yellow Jackets, as Coach Ken Roark's team steamrolled through the playoffs by the following respective margins: South Floyd (49-12), Hazard (50-12), Pikeville (78-34), Beechwood (29-13), and Mayfield (27-6).
JJ Jude - Johnson Central - Sports Overtime Rewind

WYMT is there as Johnson Central's JJ Jude breaks the State's rushing record.

Would LOVE to see a hi-Lite reel of the 2001 Class A Region 4 Championship between Paintsville/Fleming Neon @ Neon.
1959 - Ft. Thomas Highlands Highlights

Talk about a blast from the past. This is definitely the oldest film I've found for one of these threads.

That was a great team. Skidmore could run that veer attack like no one else. Branham was a monster at LB
I was hoping one of these existed and the great Brian Milam came through!

Belfry Vs. O’Cath
2004 2A Championship
Possibly the single most dominant backfield in EKY history. David Jones, Doug Howard, and G Childress’ Senior season.

Belfry set a Finals Rushing record but made some key mistakes to let Owensboro Catholic hang around. Chris Varney gets a pair of clutch late picks to secure the win.

Another Brian Milan gem!

1998 Belfry vs. Sheldon Clark Regional Final and the infamous "crawl" game.

Belfry defeated Sheldon Clark soundly in the regular season and entered with an upset win over Bell County but the Cardinals and Jim Matney had other plans.

Matney executed a time consuming, ball-control Offense with QB Harley Hammonds and RB Moe Spradlin. The two teams played to a 8-8 tie in regulation. Belfry went first in OT and scored the go-ahead TD. Sheldon Clark answered and then on the conversion, the "crawl" happened.

Sheldon Clark went on to play Jared Lorenzan and Derek Smith in the Semi's and lost after a valiant effort, arguably playing Highlands as good as anyone since their season opener.

2002 Belfry vs. Breathitt County Regional Final.. "The Mud Bowl"

Justin Haddix' Senior Year.

Belfry's grounds keeping crew made a terrible decision to cover the field after it had rained. When they lifted the tarp all the moisture had stayed locked in all week. Despite bringing in extensive measures in an attempt to dry the field prior to game time, the field was left a muddy/sloppy mess.

Belfry actually kept Breathitt within arms' reach and if I am not mistaken it was a 6-0 game with around 3:00 to go in the 4th, Belfry with the ball and a chance for a massive upset. That's when things went South. Belfry could not muster any Offense all day and with a pass needed, the Pirates threw two Pick 6's deep in their own territory to seal their fate. The Bobcats celebrated by rollng and sliding in the mud.

Breathitt went on to win a nailbiter against Russell in the Semi's and then romp their way to a Title against Corbin.
