Leading engineers estimate that some 40% of
US bridges are either obsolete or structurally
deficient. We are spending billions of dollars
to REBUILD the infrastructure in Iraq. How
about those dollars at work in America rebuilding
our own infrastructure? Opinions?

This is very disturbing.I can't get it off my mind.I travel the Russel/Ironton bridge often and it looks like it's really old and in bad shape.On Dateline a few yrs. ago they showed what to do if your car does go into water.I'm not sure of the details but I remember them saying if you can't get your windows down wait til the car is submerged then press the sharpest edge of your key to the center of the window and press hard and the window will break.Has anyone heard this???Just curious??
