TJ's Mother has passed away.
Emily Lyons Wilcox Maynard 68 of Flatwoods passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Emily was born June 27, 1951 in Boyd County to the late Lucy Biggs Lawson and was loved and raised by William T. Wilcox.
She was a Registered Nurse having worked at several medical facilities throughout the Tri-State including Putnam General, St. Maryâs Medical Center and retired from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She was also a member of Raceland Christian Church.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years Thomas âT.R.â Maynard; two children Thomas âT.J.â Maynard (Leigh Ann) of Flatwoods and Tracey Cotton (Jeff) of Worthington; one brother Taylor Wilcox of Franklin; two sisters Beth Day of Richmond and Melissa Grizzle of Olive Hill; four grandchildren Jeffery Tyler Cotton, Samantha Gail Cotton, Alexis Brooke Maynard and Alyssa Lauren Maynard; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 PM Monday August 26, 2019 at Raceland Christian Church with Pastor Jason Lykins and Deacon Greg Denton officiating. Vitiation will be Sunday at the church from 6-9.
Arrangements are under the direction of Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.
