Meeting was suppose to have taken place on Monday May 6th but that didn't happen. Not sure on the dates/times but here's the matchups.

(1) Powell County vs. (4) Owsley County.
(2) Estill County at/vs. (3) Lee County.

This is setting up to be another Estill/Powell championship. Estill has won it 3 years in a row but last time it was held at Lee County/Happy Top Park, Powell County won 10-4. Both teams will throw their aces. Estill will throw Hix and Powell will throw Skidmore. If this happens, this will be a must see game.

KHSAA bracket was updated today. Estill is now the 1 seed. Powell the 2. Powell had beaten Estill 4-1 but fell to Estill 5-3 in the 2nd game. KHSAA had updated their rules not long ago stating that each district ( seeded) would be based off the 2nd game of the regular season.

Changed back to Powell 1 seed and Estill to 2 on KHSAA.

Interesting way to determine the seeds.

42nd and 43rd districts, should there be a tiebreaker needed, use runs allowed. Think that would make more sense rather than just using the second game.

Just talked to coach Crowe. Powell 1 seed. Estill 2 seed.

Other than who'll be the home team in the championship game does it even matter? Neither will have to use any of their top pitchers to get to the finals. Owsley hasn't won a district tournament game since 1997, Lee since 2008. Probably been a while since a first round game went the full seven innings.
