Final from the All “A” semi finals at Paintsville
Good game Cards! :Cheerlead
Great win for Sheldon Clark last night
Ole Smokey behind the plate did everything he could to cheat SC out of that game, he even denied #15 a home run after the ball hit the light pole and bounced back into the outfield 20 to 30 feet.
Sad that the opposing team didn’t confirm the HR ....
parent reported that the Paintsville team showed their true colors. Throwing gloves, bats and helmets all over the place after the game. Temper tantrum by their players. What an embarrassment.

Just curious and I don’t have a dog on this tree but why did he deny the HR? Where was the light pole? Thanks
Yes it hit the light pole and it was obvious. It wasn’t Smokey he was behind the plate. It was Roy in the field that didn’t even turn to look after the rocket the kid had hit that was obviously a home run off the bat. No dog it the fight either but it was a shame that the kid was denied a home run.
No excuses, worst loss in modern baseball history hands down :ChairHit:
If Tigers can't beat SC might as well shut it down until next season. Agree with TB this was worst loss in school history!!!
SC is pretty decent this year. They are at least as good as West Carter who Paintsville lost to yesterday.

Roy's job was to watch the base runners and insure they touched each base while heading home, plus his back was to the outfield fence, I was at the game.

It was smokey's call as plate umpire and he screwed the pooch on this one. :Sad04:
With BBCor bats, a little wind, and a junk slow throwing pitcher, anyone can be beat.
One of the worse loses in Paintsville history
