WJ 2 ... Estill Co. 1 (8 innings)
Estill had chances but did not get big
hits. Then, in the bottom of the eighth,
two errors put a runner on third, then a
2 1/2 hour rain delay...then a wild pitch
and the game was over...very disappointing
loss for the Engineers, who now have to
play Owensboro Catholic at 4pm today.

Owen. Cath. 10 ... Estill Co. 0 (five innings)
Estill trailed 4-0 going into the bottom of
the fourth and gave up six runs on NO hits and
SEVEN errors. This is the second straight year
that Estill has been killed once they got into
the loser's bracket. They sure did not look
like a sweet 16 team in that fourth inning. I've
seen rec. league teams that were better.

Agree..... I am a big Estill Fan and was very disappointed of how they played the second game. Estill has had trouble with dropping their heads all year long when they get down. However, this game took the cake..... We love our Lady Neers but was very saddened. We could have easily beat W. Jessamine and even Owensboro Catholic was very beatable. Once again, the lady Neers beat themselves...... Better hopes for next year......
