Bill France Jr, son of NASCAR founder Bill France passed away today at the age of 74. France Jr was known as running NASCAR with an iron fist from 1972 until 2003, and is the man responsible for the popularity of NASCAR today....Thoughts and prayers go out to the France family..

What Bill Jr. did for Nascar will take years to measure and truly appreciate. What he did made virtually everyone in or around the sport filthy rich.
He did more for a sport than anyone could possibly do for another IMO.
