Wednesday @ 1:30pm from Rupp Arena.

In the first scrimmage of the year, JC played a 3OT game vs. Wesley Christian school. WCS started like three 7' foot or taller players and brought a couple 7' footers off the bench. That was the best high school basketball game I have ever seen. No basis for comparison for WCS & Trinity, but I can't imagine the talent is any better.

There's an old saying.... "The same water that boils the egg also softens the potato." Getting to play on the biggest stage in all of high school basketball & being under the bright lights of Rupp Arena, you either play up to & slightly above your potential and go on a big run or get blown off the court before you realize what happened.
Pulling for Johnson Central  Trinity will be to much for the golden eagle

Trinity 76
Johnson Central 54
It would be a huge upset for Johnson Central to beat Trinity.
If JC plays their game and doesn’t drawn into The Trinity hype they can win.
JC has played and won against several great teams this year and there is no reason they can’t win in Lexington.
Go Eagles and bring the title back to the 15th
What is Trinity’s starting lineups size? I know JC held their own against a much larger team in Wesley Christian but that was an exhibition game where there was virtually no defense being played. That’s much different than a sweet 16 game where every possession is going to be hard fought. JCs biggest player is around 6’2”. I’m afraid they will get dominated on the glass and the paint.

Trinity will be too much for JC.
Trinity is probably more athletic and probably has a taller team across the board. Doesn't mean Trinity will be on their A game or Johnson Central will come out and lay an egg.

JC has had some tough first round draws over the past few years.
2006 - Jeffersontown (State Champions)
2013 - Ballard
2015 - Ballard
2019 - Trinity

No. Johnson Central has not played any Kentucky teams that are even remotely as good as Trinity this year. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see Johnson Central beat Trinity. But, to say that Johnson Central has played and beaten several great teams this year is just false. I don't think Johnson Central has even played one team in the state's top 25.

Go Johnson Central.

Thanks. I’m surprised Trinity doesn’t have anyone taller than 6’5”. It’s still going to be an uphill battle for JC. They are going to have to really crash the glass and limit transition.
Pulling for JC in this one..fire and heart can help a lot! Plus Trinity could come out and have a horrible game, just never know..but what a upset if JC can pull this off!

Go Johnson Central.

JC did play George Rogers Clark and they got beat by 19.

I personally never considered GRC as a top 25 team this year.
Good Luck Golden Eagles, Pike Co is pulling for you!!
Pulling for a big JC upset but in reality I think it will be Trinity by 12-14 points. If May and Vanhoose get hot anything could happen though. Let’s go Golden Eagles!
Looks like it will be a close comparison between JC/Trinity as far as shear number of coaches, if nothing else. Confusednicker:
