The KHSAA announced that the state softball finals will be played at UKâs John Cropp Stadium the next two years. Thatâs fantastic news for the sport, in my opinion. No word yet on format, but probably will be held over two days.

Agree, sorta wish they could have kept the Sweet Sixteen though.
They big question is where will the sectionals be held and what type of format will they use?

Top 2 of each region goes to âSemi-Stateâ or âSectionalsâ, there you win two games to qualify for State Tournament.
Only way dot do it right is a sweet sixteen of softball. Only true way to get every region their props for winning their region. All regions in basketball gets to play at Rupp. Should be no difference for the ladies. I hope KHSAA does the girls right in this aspect. Opportunities for every region to get to John Cropp this way. Itâs not all about the money sometimes...well...actually it seems to be. But it shouldnât in this situation.
