ACHS and SFHS met up for the second time in 2 days. Unlike Monday's win over SHFS, AC came out strong and saw 17 batters at the plate in the first inning. At the end of 1 inning AC was leading 12-1. AC pitched Freshmen Logan Crowder who gave up 1 run in 3 innings. Seniors John Bryant and Ethan Conley pitched innings 4 and 5. SF pitched Sophomores Cody Cook and Tyler Mitchell before bringing in (JR?) Cody Howell.

AC now stands at 5-0 in 58th district play to be Floyd County Conference Champions and has clinched the #1 seed for District tourney. AC has been FCC Champions in 2003, 2004, 2006 and now 2007. They won the 58th District Tourney in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006.

Congrats on the FCC Championship guys!! Good Luck Thursday against BLHS.

Where is the District held this year?

Districts is held at South Floyd this year. I'm assuming they still play at Drift Park. Congrats, Allen Central for clinching yet another Conference Championship. Use this as momentum to finish the season strong.

SFHS is scheduled to host the tourney. Honestly, I don't think Drift is the place to have it. No offense-they are working on their field/facilities--but there just isn't enough seating or parking at this point. Archer Park was running over at last years tourney. Also the lack of lighting would be an issue. If last nights game had gone the full 7 innings-they couldn't have finished it.
