Ashleigh Stanley K'd 9 batters, and minus the 5th inning defensive lapse, SV's defense kept Magoffin off the bases. Three unearned runs crossed the plate to set the final score. SV had some solid plate appearances during the contest, but left 11 base runners stranded or the score could have been much worse. #15 Howard did a nice job driving a change into deep left field for a triple and scored on a passed ball for MC's first run. Esther Fleming and Caitlyn Case scored seven runs for SV. SV plays @ East Ridge tomorrow and @ Pikeville on Thursday to close out district play. Regardless of ER game, if SV beats Pikeville they will lock up the #1 seed in district play.
