That was a huge kick by Jake Headly to end the half. 38 yarder!
JC kept pounding it on the ground the whole half. They were chewing clock and keeping Ashlandâs defense on the field. With JC getting the ball to start the 2nd half if will be interesting to see if Ashland starts to wear down defensively.
Halftime observations.....
JC is running the football at will up the middle. Ashland has some speed on the edges, and JC has been able to bust some big plays on the corners.... but up the middle is JC's money maker.
Ashland's offense is fast. Their TD came on a 41 yd. pass play. Ashland moved the ball pretty good on their opening drive, but JC's defense held tight and kept them to a field goal.
JC hasn't threw one pass in the first half. JC had a pass play drew up, but Ashland was able to cover very good and Preece took a sack.
