No Kaden Caudill from Pikeville? I’m surprised. Kid has been very very good.

Agree 100%. I believe he led the team in tackles.

I'm sure its an oversight. He's an excellent player.
Skylar Pelfrey needs to be listed from Hazard.
Solid list.
Good to see Preston Spurlock from Leslie Co mentioned he’s just gonna be a sophomore but is very good. If I’m not mistaken he had over 120 tackles as a freshman last year which is incredible. Fletcher from Hazard is also very good.
Jayden Payne - Rockcastle
Tristan Cox (UK offer), Devin Johnson and EZ Roller should be a little higher IMO.

Surprised as well. When you take a kid that led his team in tackles last season, and taking in consideration the tough schedule Pikeville plays, it is a surprise. Look for him to excel at his position this season, non the less.

I am too. He deserves it but I also think the other linebacker from Paintsville Keaton Daniels I believe is his name deserves it also
SK has 2 studs 6'0 198 Purnell and 5'11 205 Cogswell both are Seniors. Cogswell has the school record for benching 405 pounds.
Tucker Holland has been the star linebacker for Knox the past two years - Renfro didn't play last year.
Garry Henson led Harlan County in tackles the past two years, over 100 each season.

Good List but Payton Hatcher from Somerset should be on this list. Kid is a Beast.:1:
There is no way Darrian Bell #34 Danville Admirals should not be on this list. Please do your homework.
Sophomore season stats
144 tackles 90 solo 2 int 3 Fumble Recoveries 1 TD
15-0 led team in tackles , beat 3a State Champion
6’2 210
Preston Spurlock is a beast could easily be one of the top 10 as a sophomore.
1st - How was this list compiled?
2nd - Jackson Juett from Madison Central should be listed.
I just feel when you make a list like this you have to do a little homework. I know it’s hard to know about every kid in the state. How was this list compiled?
Cant forget Christian Keeton at Paintsville. He had over 100 tackles last 3 seasons and they also play a tough schedule.
Lists are JMHO but are compiled based on polling 27 coaches in various classes, discussions with Rivals rep, 24/7 rep, 3 media outlet reps, and review of all state rankings and awards. If there is a kid not on there then it could just be my mistake or it could be he has never been selected all state, recognized by any scouting service, and many coaches and news outlets don’t have his name on the tip of their tongue. I put in not just hours but months of research so if there is a better list compiled with more research I would love to see it.

Sorry NutterButter that’s who I was trying to remember but got his name wrong but he is definitely one of the best in the state
Brecken Thomas - Greenup County. May be the best sideline to sideline linebacker ive seen.

AJ Glenn from Casey county. He has been hampered with an injury the end of last season and all preseason but game time he almost always shows up, big time.
From the area I watch I like Cox PC Hatcher Somerset and Barnes Southwestern. All will have 120 plus tackles this season if they stay healthy
