Estill started poorly allowing 4 runs in the bottom half of the 1st inning, but bounced back and chipped away at the lead throughout. Hard fought game by both teams.

14th Region appears to be wide open as of now. No consistency is being shown. Powell easily had that game won last night and couldn't finish.

Easily? lol. After the first inning, Powell just managed 2 runs the remaining 8 innings.

It was probably meant to mean the game should have ended on an easy pop up with two outs in the 7th and Powell was up one run. If the first/second baseman catch it the game is over. It was an easy pop up to handle, therefore, should have won "easily". But they didn't, make the easy play so now they have to deal with the loss. It will weigh heavily on the team's mind come district tournament time.

I agree 100%. Powell will be the home team in the district championship, but it is a turn of the tables in terms of confidence level. Also the fact that Powell has not seen Hix or O'Hair yet either. I don't think Powell has shown the Ginter kid, but Estill has seen him in previous seasons.
