Lexington, Ky. – The Transylvania men's basketball team snapped a two-game skid with an exhilarating 82-50 victory over the Earlham College Quakers at the Beck Center on Wednesday evening.

The win pushes Transylvania's record to 14-6 overall and 9-4 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Freshman guard Devin Twenty came off the bench to lead the Pioneers with a career-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. The four made triples were also a career-best for Twenty.

Joining Twenty in double figures were sophomore guard Gabe Schmitt and freshman guard Spencer Hemmerich, who each added 11 points in the Pioneers' victory.

Led by Twenty and Hemmerich, the Transylvania reserves outscored the Earlham bench 51-21 on Wednesday.

The Pioneers shot 58 percent in the first half while their defense held the Quakers to a dismal 26 percent shooting quotient, leading to a 48-21 Transylvania advantage at the half. Additionally, the Pioneers scored 10 fast-break points to zero for the Quakers.

In the second half, Transylvania continued to move the ball around the court in dominating fashion, eventually pushing the lead to 38 points before the Pioneers coasted to the 82-50 victory.

The Pioneers were dominant down low throughout the game, outscoring the Quakers 42-18 on points in the paint.

Up next, Transylvania will travel to North Manchester, Indiana to face the Manchester University Spartans on Saturday, February 3. Tipoff between the Pioneers and the Spartans is set for 3:00 p.m. at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
