MONTREAT, N.C. – Union College freshman Logan Calvert (FR/Louisville, Ky.) does it again, leading the Bulldogs in scoring in come-from-behind victory, earning the 76-73 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win over Montreat (N.C.) on Wednesday.

The win ups the Bulldogs' record to 9-12 and 6-10 in conference play, while the Cavaliers fall to 6-16 on the year and 5-12 in the AAC.

Calvert led Union with 16 points, while Cheyanne Stidham (JR/Whitesburg, Ky.) poured in 15 of her own.

Montreat led the majority of the first half, and the entire third quarter, but Union battled in the fourth quarter to take home another conference win.

To open the fourth, Union went on a 12-0 run taking a 62-56 lead with 7:00 remaining. The Bulldogs increased their lead by seven points, after Jordan Sandefur (FR/Berea, Ky.) hit a shot beyond the arc, making it 65-58, with 6:29 remaining.

The Cavaliers never let up and got within one point on the Bulldogs after Hannah Calloway hit a 3-pointer, making it a one-point game. With the Bulldogs up 74-73, and just 0:09 remaining, Union sealed its fate in sending Brooke Hammonds (FR/Pennington Gap, Va. ) to the line. Hammonds made both her shots, capturing the 76-73 victory.

For Montreat, they had four finish in double-digits with Niroshka Perez setting the tone with 20.

The Bulldogs outrebounded the Cavaliers 26-24.

Union returns back to action on Saturday when it plays host to Truett McConnell (Ga.) in AAC play. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
