Well folks it's official. YOUR elected officials, those who swore a solemn oath to uphold the Constitution and represent your interests in the halls of government, are putting the interests of foreigners ahead of the US Citizens and those of the US Armed Services in particular. You who actually put them in office can go fish.

The entire Democratic Conference is in on it but, no surprise there. Add RINO Lindsay Graham to the list too. He even went as far as to admit that his no vote is directly attributable to the lack of a DACA fix.

Worse, according to the government registry there are only about 700 thousand DACA recipients. The actual number is more like 4 million. But why are Dems so ready and desperate to die on the DACA hill? Answer; they lost millions of voters from the Rust Belt last election. How does one find himself 4 million loyal voters to replace them at the single stroke of a pen? DACA. I believe Lindsay Graham and John McCain are both certifiable. And then there is good ol Senator Rand Paul, who is just straight up strange.

Dems need votes. So we'll have no wall, no meaningful border enforcement, and no voter ID's. We will have sanctuary cites and DACA. I can really see why so many folks vote Democrat, it's all so clear now. Seriously, how willfully ignorant can people actually get?
If the government shuts down, it will be because the president decided to do it. And why? Because Mexico didn't pay for the wall.
Saw an interesting segment from a 2013 episode of Fox & Friends last night. Trump called in to voice his opinion on the pending shut down. He had some interesting things to say.

“It always happens to be the top. I mean, the problems start from the top and have to get solved from the top,” Trump said then. “The president is the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead.”

“When they talk about the government shutdown” in the future, “they’re going to be talking about the president of the United States.”

“I really think the pressure is on the president”
So here we are at the threshold of the shutdown. As mentioned, desperate Dems having watched helplessly as the very American public they had so long taken for granted from the Rust Belt, jilted poor ol Hillary again, and left her and the fortunes of the Party standing behind at the altar. But the professional cheaters have seen a way around the predicament. In yet another vote buying scheme, Dems see these 4 million DACA recipients as mere conscripts who will provide a life saving transfusion for their party. Forget the fact that in this latest shenanigan Dems will have betrayed loyal (though evidently naive) Democrat supporters yet again and the entire nation. Again we see that all that matters to them is power and their desperate plan to re-seize the power they lost last election. And I got a little flash for them. Despite their daily parroting of the propaganda line, the majority of Americans aren't buying. Polls be darned, they know the true majority DOES NOT want DACA if the price tag amounts to the cost of our country. Regardless, it would seem that the open border globalists are about to pull this thing off anyway, and that in spite of a sitting President and a majority who opposes their efforts to steal national sovereignty from US citizens. Here's why.

Now, if Dems can get us into a shutdown, they can then keep us there until such time as Republicans capitulate and give those 4 million DACA recipients legal status. No wonder they're angling so stringently for a shutdown! Imagine the pressure Republicans will be under in such a scenario and by the way, when in the heck are these naive Republicans going to realize Dems are playing the harshest kind of hardball? It's been like trying to OJT a bunch of Boyscouts sent to the Congress. But either way the Dems get what they want, more millions of happy voters to hang their hats on. What kills me is their base is willing to be used and treated like a necessary commodity for the sakes of the self-before-country Democrats who just keep using them. Thank the Lord the Rust Belt folks woke up! ABTW, that willfully self sacrificial Democratic base? Is ironically certain to get had just as surely and at just as great a personal cost as the Republicans they evidently hate so much.

This time, in my view, Republicans just cannot afford to give in. Reason is totally out the window, as is the common good. And I would take this time to formally suggest to those few Republicans who are currently no votes, two options. Leave the country, or change party affiliation and get it over with. That way we can at least run somebody against them and get a Republican in their seat. Never say never they say, but I guarantee it will take a full on emergency to get me to vote for Rand Paul again. What a complete doofus.

What does that have to do with what I posted? But thanks for the update.

IDK. What did your post have to do with today's situation? They weren't able to hang the shutdown in 2013 on Obama because the media and the Dems lied their heads off.

This time there is a Republican in office and I agree they'll come for him on this. But unlike the last time when Repubs got blamed, this time the sides have been clearly delineated. The public knows who's doing it this time, as they know that no matter what the Dems and the media will try to hang it around Trump's neck. No surprise there, it's just that the people know better.
So far, it seems that Trump is successfully framing the shutdown as a case of the health of U.S. American citizen children v. illegal aliens. Republicans need to do a much better job of articulating what chain migration is and why Democrats are insisting on it continuing to be part of U.S. immigration policy.

Liberal policies have failed miserably and repeatedly in this country. American voters understand the failure of Democrat policies. Instead of adopting new policies that might work, Democrats seek to import new voters who do not realize what a colossal failure the Ponzie schemes promoted by the Democrat Party have been.

This "shutdown" is all about Democrats' desire to import an infinite pool of ignorant Democrat voters.

Does the truth matter anymore? Their was a BI PARTISAN agreement brought to the President. No funding for wall meant no budget approval. I can read the bumper stickers now "MEXICO SHUT DOWN THE US GOVT FOR FAILURE TO PAY FOR THE WALL". One thing I agree with Reps. on is that public education is failing us. Just look at Trump supporters. That's all the proof we need.:biglmao:

You are right about public education failing you. By now, Democrat President Woodrow Wilson have surely expected that socialism would have extinguished the last fires of American ingenuity and capitalism. Instead, we have a capitalist president and a red hot economy fueled by deregulation and tax rate cuts. :biglmao:
