BC 1 and 1
Ashland 2 and 1
Russell 1 and 2
East Carter 0 and 3

Drove down to see most of the games on Friday. Some really good basketball down here. Top 20 teams everywhere.

BC got beat up last night vs Male. Male was much too big and had their way on the boards. Late push from BC to cut it to 3 was denied. Male gathered theirselves and went on to win by 17. Wheeler and Paytner looked good.

Ashland has proven to be really good even with outside competition. They had a easy game with BL but came back and played #3 Male very hard. Fridays game was good for this team that continues to struggle on Offensive. The win vs Highlands was a close game. Robinson and Parker were good in this one. Parker is really shooting crazy good.

Russells only win is from the East Carter game. Was hoping to see them do well down here. Not sure whats going on with them early this season.

East Carter has struggled. Which was expected. They as everyone knows are in a re building year. Never saw them play, just going on the scores.

Competition/talent/teams/coaching were all on display at this tourney. Boyd represented itself well here and these games will only help them toward their ultimate goal of winning the 16th region AND winning games in the Sweet 16. We put up 94 against a very good Scott Co team and proved we can play with Male and some of the top teams. Russell also represented the 16th well and played 2 really good teams close. Russell will be just fine and these 2 losses will help them as the season moves on. Ashland also represented itself well in the tourney with a 2-2 mark. Stepping outside to play some of the better teams in the state will help these teams come tourney time.
