Perry Central evens their record at 2-2 on the season. Leslie County falls to 2-3. This is the second game in a roll these two teams have played. They also met in the WYMT Mountain Classic last week. Perry Central won that game 71-47.

Wow just based on the score this game was a lot more competitive than the one last week. Did Perry have a bit of a let down or did Leslie come in with a better game plan?

In the first meeting Leslie played close for the first quarter and then decided to press and Perry ate it alive. Last night they slowed the ball down for most of the game and Perry never made them speed up. Perry continues to get into foul trouble and that hurts them.

Perry has to stay out of foul trouble

Perry definitely struggles when they have to go to the bench, if teams continue to take it inside on them and draw fouls, the Commodores will definitely struggle. Going to be a fun season, a lot of teams can win the region this year.

Mainly because they are good football players, they just can't get used to the fact that certain kinds of contact is not allowed in basketball. It's just hard to get out of that mentality. Nothing against them, they just are big kids and can't keep from fouling. Hopefully with a little coaching and some practice, they will learn. Only time will tell.
