HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
A man accused of setting a strip club on fire in Huntington told deputies he set the blaze because he was tired of his girlfriend working there, court records said.

Creio Chance Bishop, 21, of Huntington was arrested on second-degree arson charges stemming from an early Wednesday morning fire at a Route 60 strip club, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Fire marshals said Bishop is accused of setting fire to the exterior of JB’s Gentlemen’s Club at 3330 U.S. 60. Bishop fled on foot and was detained by deputies with the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department in a Walmart parking lot, fire marshals said.

When Bishop was taken into custody and was asked why he was carrying a bag of trash, he "excitedly stated he was tired of his girlfriend working at JB's, so he set it on fire," the complaint said.

No injuries occurred in the fire.

Bishop was placed under arrest by Assistant State Fire Marshal T.S. Chastain and taken to the Western Regional Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 bond surety or cash.

The front door and siding were damaged to the building.
