Never dreamed Wayne would put that many on Western. They are playing very well. Next test is a ride on the J. C. Express. Should be a heck of a game!
Congrats to Wayne County.
Wayne County used 55 plays to net 427 yards and 19 first downs, to offset 4 turnovers and roll to a 45-18 win. Lorenzo Linsey completed 11 of 20 passes for 160 yards with 3 TDs, plus rushed 10 times for 65 yards, while Aubrey Weaver added a game high 6 catches for 113 yards and 2 scores. Senior running back Cagen Wallace rushed for a season high 115 yards on just 11 carries with scoring runs of 2 and 4 yards, as the winners rushed for 267 yards on 35 attempts. The win marks Wayne's third straight region championship and fourth in five years, plus sets up a semifinals home date with Johnson Central, a team that has ended their season back to back years.

Louisville Western managed 59 plays for 288 yards and 8 first downs led by do everything back senior Kenny Thompson. The best back I've seen this year rushed 20 times for 140 yards, which included a 57 yard TD Run, plus completed 2 of 2 passes for 79 yards and a score. Western's fans had chili for the Cardinal Faithful after the long drive up and credit that program as they played hard and were an outstanding host, despite tough field -conditions!

Happy Thanksgiving and GO CARDS!!! No trash talk this week Cardinal Fans, until somebody knocks off Johnson Central they can crow all they want, we just need to #PACKTHEJEWELL
Turnovers and penalties made this one interesting early, but the Cardinal defense was stiff after last week's hiccup.

This game shows the depth of this Cardinal offense. If they don't stop themselves it's hard to defend everyone.

We’re looking forward to another trip to Jewel Field. One of the best atmospheres in the state in my opinion. This should be an absolute dandy.
Good win for the cards a little slow out of the gate, hats off to western players and coaching staff definitely got there program going in right direction
