Dawgs looked much better tonight. Offense continues to roll and the defense looked better. Gave up 34 points but 1td was due to a LC fumble that was recovered and taken to the 2 yard line and 2 td's was against jv. Powell has good size and some nice athletes just didn't seem to have a lot of depth.

After LC was subbing down on D,we kept starting O in the whole game. Dawgs didn't really pull away til after halftime it was a close game til then.
The offense is looking strong, but at some point this program needs to figure something out defensively. Can't beat strong teams with offense alone. I'm still seeing defensive problems that have been going on for several season now. Bad angles being taken everywhere, poor fundamentals in tackling, defensive backs completely lost most of the time. I think coach Short will figure something out and get the defense playing better with a full regular season to work on it.
Yes the defense is giving up way to many points against weaker offenses. Bath co held this team to 27. It will get ugly quick against a good team if they don't find some toughness on defense.
