Berea Lady Pirates held their annual Berea Lady Pirate Invitational. The field consisted of; Adair County, Estill County, Garrard County, Madison Southern, McCreary Central, Perry County Central, Powell County, Sayre
Madison Southern won all 4 games, claiming the 2017 Berea Lady Pirate Invitaitonal Tournament champions. The Lady Eagles defeated McCreary Central (2-0; 25-14, 25-19), Garrard County (2-0;25-9, 25-17), Adair County (2-0; 25-8, 25-5) and Sayre (Championship) (2-0; 25-21, 25-23).
Sayre finishes 2nd, defeating, Estill County (2-0; 25-13, 25-20), Powell County (2-1; 20-25, 25-21, 15-12), Perry Central (2-0; 25-13, 25-8) but losing to Madison Southern in the championship.
Estill County finishes 3rd, defeating, Powell County (2-1, 25-27, 25-23, 15-12), Perry Central (2-0; 25-9, 25-11) and Garrard County (3rd place game) (2-0; 26-24, 25-20)
Powell County finished 5th......McCreary Central finished 6th
Adair County finished 7th....Perry Central finished 8th....
This is the first time that Estill County has defeated Powell County since 2009...
