Ok, you would have to put a key W for Allen Central as Magoffin County now. That was a pretty big win.
congrats everyone on a hard fought season

Magoffin wasn't at full strength. 2 of their best players had to sit out due to injury.
Nice summary Alfus21, you've been doing your homework!

Now, it will be interesting to see how the stats hold up in district and regional play.

It doesnt matter if they were all there or not. They win as a team and lose as a team. So if they had won I guess it would have been another story.

Yes I understand that. But when your second best scorer sits out and you best defender sits out and they both are seniors and the team needs that kind of leadership on the court. Its hard to ask these younger kids who see maybe 5 minutes of PT on varsity to step up and take the role of 2 of your best players. I would have loved to see AC play a healthy Magoffin team. Would have been an even better game!

yea i agree, great job Alfus21
Nice job Alfus!
I don't understand how Alfus can list Allen Central as having "no" key wins, while listing Pike Central as having a key "win" over Allen Central when in reality, the Rebels beat Pike Central twice...????

Allen Central is better than Pike Central. It was a game they were supposed to win, therefore not a key win that looked good. While Pike Central wasn't favored in the game vs. Allen Central the win for them was bigger meaning key win. I think the record of teams Allen Central has beaten speaks volumes on their key wins.
East Ridge looks pitfully on the list this season.

There's always next year. All teams have their bad years and good ones! And even though it doesn't look good for them, they aren't beat out yet this year!

Actually, at the first of the season when these two teams played, it was a toss-up. No one knew who would have won that early in the season, it was like the 2nd game if Im not mistaking. And for the Coca Cola classic, little later on in the season and AC was expected to win, and the way they won over Pike Central(the host school may I add), that should be a pretty big win in my case. But thats JMO.
And yeah, I would still put Magoffin County as a key win as well.
Nice observation!
Nice work alfus....I still think that the 15th is going to come down to a few teams....Valley's defense and offensive skills have slacked off in the recent weeks, Paintsville's defense hasn't really been there all season, but they have picked up on the offensive side the past several games...JC, they are playing pretty good right now and maybe Belfry might have an outside shot...don't know a whole lot on them right now. Regardless, the regional tourney is going to be a fun one.
Nice rankings....can't wait for the regional tourney to start!
and i hope you all arent forgetting but Johnson Central if they beat Sheldon Clark will have to play paintsville just to see who goes to the region. So that will be a very interesting game and outcome..

AC cannot be a keywin for Pike Central. AC defeated them both times. Am I missing somthing here?
Ac is a key win no matter who they play...a couple weeks ago they were ranked 3 in the region based on their record. So any team that has beat them in that past couple weeks has got a key win on their record.

I understand that. My question is-Allen Central defeated Pike Central in both meeting this season. So how is AC shown as key win for PC? PC didn't beat them.

Not to get too technical, but Pike Central hasn't beaten Allen Central this season, no matter what you think about the teams the Rebels have defeated. You have the Hawks beating the Rebels as one of their key wins. That's the point I was trying to make, or is that too technical?

Smile My bad on that one. I misread the scoreboard  Don't know why I thought that.
Thanks for clearing that up Alfus21.
