I haven't kept up with baseball much over the last 5-6 years. Idk if they have fallen on some hard times, but I'm surprised to not see traditional power PRP in the preseason top 15

So PBR didn't even have PRP in the top 15, but the coaches have them at #3. I wondered why I didn't see them in there. I guess PBR isn't very reliable.
Perry Central already beat #6 Johnson Central at Johnson Central. Perry plays Lafayette and Sayre this weekend in Lexington.

PRP should absolutely be in the Top 10. It shows how biased some of the polls are.

Perry Central has surprised some, but anybody that watched them last season are not surprised at all. If they take care of business at the regional tournament then it will be a really tough draw for somebody, especially if they overlook teams from the East like so many have done in the past.
PRP has done nothing the last 3 years to deserve to be in the top 10 preseason rankings. They haven't even advanced to the region championship game since they won state in 2013. No way they should have been #3 in the coaches poll but a lot of the coaches vote for teams because of their name. I think PBR got it right not having them in the top 15 until they prove they belong. I do think they will have the best team they have had since that 2013 team but being familiar with these teams in Louisville, Trinity and St. Xavier are a notch above the rest.
A lot of good baseball talent getting overlooked
