BB&T is a great arena but the girls sweet 16 should be in Memorial Coliseum on the Campus of The University of Kentucky. Does anyone know why it is not?

Mercer and Franklin Co. In the finals. Going with Mercer.. 2 of my top 3 players in the state in this game..
Interesting note, Mercer and Franklin played in the finals of the KBA state tournament when most of these girls were 8th graders. Franklin won that game.

Out of curiosity, did Mercer add any players from other places along the way?
That group has been together since grade school. Most were playing and contributing at the varsity level in 7th grade.
Mercers girls are all home grown. Something thats not going on in the mountains. At least not in basketball.

Mountains aren't the only place its going on and in fact a few select schools cause the label.
