Huge win for the Wolves
This was a great game. Both teams played really hard and the gym was electric from the start. Wolfe jumped out to a 13 point lead in the 2nd half and Breathitt came storming back to tie it going into the 4th. Wolfe turned up the pressure on defense and forced some steals to start the 4th and ended up pulling away. Stone and Haddix made several big plays for Wolfe and #22 had a great 4th quarter. Barnett carried Breathitt tonight.
Thought the Wolves would win this won, but margin is a little bit of a surprise - what a great 14th regional tournament to look forward to next week - said it a several times, don't sleep on the Wolves, they are a very tough team that plays very hard and has 2 of the better players in the region in Haddix and Stone - and Stone is one of the top shooters in the state. Congrats to the Wolves on the District Championship, Coach Creech seems to have the Wolves playing their best basketball of the season right now.
