Mason Blair hit a school record 12 3-pointers. That is the 5th most in KHSAA history.
Mason also now holds the school career made 3-point baskets with 244.

One of the best shooters in the 15th region history and currently one of the best shooters in the state... yes, he has the Green Light from the coaches.

Last night was also the 3rd time in JC history that a player scored 50+ points in a game.

David Couch; 1979 vs. Paintsville - 50
Jamie McCarty; 2006 vs. Sheldon Clark - 56
Mason Blair; 2016 vs. Lawrence County - 50

Crace and Blair combined for 75 points last night. That also broke a school record held by Mike Castle and Howard Wallen who combined for 72 vs. Betsy Layne in 1970.

Mason hit 6/8 3-point field goals in the 2nd qtr. (school record).
Mason also hit 9/16 in the 1st half (school record).

I have been watching JC athletics since the mid 90's.....

I can say the past five years have collectively produced the best athletes in our history. There may have been a better player at a certain sport/position in years past, but the past five school years have been the best athletic achievements in our history.

Can't take anything away from JC they have great programs, there football coach is top notch, but not a fan of Blair, takes terrible shots, not a team player, plays no defence, no assist, & limited rebounds. That not the player that someone whats to play with. Also cant believe that a school as big as JC would only have 2 kids that can score.

I think Blair plays his guts out but really lacks athleticism to play at next level. It really shocked me to see him sign with UPike. Kid will never see the floor at that level. I hope I'm wrong just don't see it.

Bass Fishing has won Region and sent several teams to state, the last couple of years.

Timmy Dalton also had 42 points in this game for LC. Big time shootout by 2 of the best players in the 15th this year. Both teams are going to need a little more balance to really make a push this season.

I haven't been able to see JC play this year. How is the 7 footer looking? I know he hasn't scored much but does he look like he will be a solid player this season
