MIAMI (AP) — Reggie Bush was fined $5,000 by the NFL for taunting during his 88-yard touchdown reception in New Orleans' NFC championship game loss at Chicago last week.

Although the rookie running was not penalized for pointing back at Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher or for somersaulting into the end zone, he subsequently received the league's standard punishment for taunting.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the fine Sunday.

Bush, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner and second pick in last year's draft, caught a short pass from Drew Brees on the left sideline. He sped downfield, cut back near midfield and was several steps ahead of Urlacher when Bush turned and pointed at the Bears star. He then did his front flip into the end zone, making the score 16-14.

The Bears won 39-14 to reach the Super Bowl.
I was about to post that it's stupid.......... but I guess they know kids look up to him and would think it's cool to taunt people like that.
As much as I like the Saints. (which is not near as much as you like the Bengals) I thought that was a classless move as soon as he done it. I thought the flip into the end zone was great but taunting Urlacher...No. That may be why he didn't do anything after that. Urlacher was probably pissed off and said enough of this nonsense from this young punk. I think Bush could be one of the best players on the field but he needs to understand that this ain't college anymore.
Thought it was pretty funny.
I'm not a very big fan of Bush, but I think the fine the NFL handed him was ridiculous.
They taunt on every play in the NFL. What made wat he di so bad?
Nice play regardless......... but how'd they let him get that open?
